We got a behind the scenes look at what makes The South's Grandest Christmas Show at the Alabama Theater so special.
The South’s Grandest Christmas Show is packed with amazing talent, festive music, over the top sets, and custom made costumes. It’s very rare that you would get a peak behind the scenes. We were overjoyed when Emcee, Greg Rowles invited us backstage for a grand tour of what it’s like without all the lights and magic.
Well, let’s be honest it’s STILL magical even without all that. We had to see why it is referred to as The South’s GRANDEST. There are so many reasons. This two and a half hour long show features professionals from all over the globe. There’s never a dull moment, and something for everyone from kids to Grandparents. Planning starts early for the show and custom costumes are designed in Las Vegas. There’s a famous piano that makes an appearance in the show, and a lift from the rock band KISS.
You have to see it for yourself, though! Greg says every year people come back to enjoy the show. For 26 seasons, it’s been a magical addition to the Grand Strand and this year, there will be a few new things you don’t want to miss. What a great way to get into the Holiday spirit!
The show opens on November 1st and runs through December 31st.
