The Boathouse in Myrtle Beach is well known for amazing views, live music, and great food This year, they'll be even more for you to enjoy!
Headed into their 15th year, The Boathouse in Myrtle Beach is going back to their roots and adding some new fun for 2019. We were so excited to sit down with owner, Misty Coan on what to expect.
For starters, you’ll be able to enjoy a brewery on site. That’s right, they’ll be brewing their own beer this year and you can expect anywhere from 4-6 to choose from. They’ll even have a beer garden where the tiki bar used to be. Misty shared how excited she is for the new addition and says they’ll have a nice menu to choose from and something for everyone.
You’ll also notice some new additions when you walk into the restaurant. That big boat hanging from the ceiling? It was actually Misty’s husband, Tripp Coan’s grandfather’s boat. He built it back in the 60’s. That boat was the inspiration for them calling The Boathouse what it is. You’ll also see family heirlooms on the walls and throughout the restaurant. Fishing and being near the water is a family tradition. You can expect a new menu, too! “Everything will have a homemade touch,” Misty said.
As far as what music to expect, Misty says they’ll have a great summer lineup. “Expect some of your old favorites and some new up and coming talent,” Misty said.
You’re even invited to bring your dogs on Wednesday’s for “Yappy Hour.” Misty’s adorable dachshund Nellie hosts the event and loves making new friends. Don’t worry, humans are invited, too!
Also new for 2019? Brunch. Yes, please! Enjoy a brunch menu and cocktails!
