A lot goes on behind the scenes at this iconic attraction in Myrtle Beach. Find out what makes the SkyWheel go 'round.
If you’ve visited Myrtle Beach, you’ve seen it. If you haven’t ridden it, you’re missing out. The SkyWheel in Myrtle Beach is one of the most iconic attractions and offers some of the best views you’ll see of the coastline, and more. Plus, it’s not your typical Ferris wheel. You can see a lot from the top, but you don’t typically see what goes on behind the scenes. We sat down with Rachel Beckerman on what makes the wheel go ’round.
Not only is there a lot going on behind the scenes, but there are so many cool facts you probably had no idea about. Like, how much each gondola actually costs, how fast it goes, and how much it weighs. We got the answers to all of those questions. When it comes to views, it’s hard to beat the 360 degree views that each flight boasts. What’s more, on a clear day, you can see as far as the North Carolina coast. Each flight is different and the day and night flight are two completely different experiences. You have to check them out and see for yourself. There’s even a VIP gondola where the red carpet is literally rolled out and you can even see through the floor to observe the inner workings of the wheel.
Come along with us and check it out! This is a must on your list of adventures when visiting the Myrtle Beach area! We particularly love the annual flight pass option, you can’t beat the deal it is for unlimited flights throughout the year!
