SHAG, The Movie, 30th Anniversary Celebration Tickets Are Selling Out for this Saturday at The Market Common

There are still a limited amount of tickets available for The Market Common’s 30th Anniversary Celebration of SHAG, the movie made and set in Myrtle Beach.

Source: The Market Common (The cast of SHAG takes a break from shooting on North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach in the summer of 1987. While they were all relatively new to the film industry at the time, most of them have movie stars in their families. From left to right, Page Hannah’s sister is Daryl Hannah. Bridget Fonda is the daughter of the Peter Fonda, granddaughter of Henry Fonda and niece of Jane Fonda. Phoebe Cates married her husband, Kevin Kline, in the spring of 1989, just months before SHAG was released in the US. But Annabeth Gish, who did happen to have a grandmother named Lillian, is not related the silent film star, Lillian Gish, as is often believed. )

The showing will take place Saturday, September 14th at Tupelo Honey at the Market Common.  You’ll have two opportunities to see the iconic movie.  The first showing will be from 1-3pm, and the second from 7-9pm.  Guests will enjoy upscale southern fare while hearing the story behind the making of the motion picture before seeing a private screening of SHAG. Those in attendance who were in the movie will be acknowledged. An all-inclusive ticket that includes the private screening, lunch or dinner, tax and tip is $25. A cash bar will be available.
