Have you ever held a baby tiger? You can do that and more at the Myrtle Beach Safari.
It’s hard to believe there’s a 50 acre wildlife preserve located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
What’s even harder to believe than that? You can actually experience it for yourself, and get up close with the animals. It’s no wonder people come from all over the world for the Wild Encounters Tour. Some of the animals you’ll get to meet include Bubbles the elephant, famous for being featured in music videos with stars like Janet Jackson and Ashanti. You’ll also get to hold tiger cubs and interact with other babies including wolves and lions. Rare birds are also apart of the experience. You’ll even have an opportunity to play volleyball with chimpanzees. While no cameras or phones are allowed inside the Preserve, it actually makes for an undistracted experience. But don’t worry… there are plenty of photographers to capture these amazing memories. The experience is about 3 hours long and will set you back a few hundred bucks. You won’t go hungry either, snacks are provided throughout the day and you’ll enjoy lunch before you leave. The tour is even bigger than checking something off your bucket list. Proceeds help benefit the rare and endangered species fund. In addition to the Wild Encounters Tour, Myrtle Beach Safari offers a night tour for a completely different experience after the sun goes down. You can also schedule a swim with Bubbles the elephant in the intracoastal waterway. For those that don’t opt for the tour, you have an opportunity to see the tigers for free at the Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing. They also offer photo encounters here that are much more affordable options. For more information or to schedule a tour, you can visit their website here: http://myrtlebeachsafari.com
