Meet real life mermaids at Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach and even learn how to swim like one!
Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach is just one of those places you have to experience. Not only will you meet lots of aquatic friends, you’ll even meet real life mermaids at Ripley’s Aquarium. If your dream has been to always have a fin, too… they even offer a camp where you’ll get to dress like a mermaid and learn mermaid tricks! I mean, if that isn’t mer-mazing, we don’t know what is.
We caught up with Mera the mermaid who tells us all about the shows you can watch. You’ll even get to take shell-fies with the mermaids after the show! For the show schedule, see below.
Ray Bay Mermaid Shows:
- Saturday: 12pm, 2pm, 4pm
- Sunday: 12pm, 2pm, 4pm
Mermaid shows will be offered daily, several times a day from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Space is limited for Mermaid Camp and it’s a pretty fin-tastic experience. See the schedule below.
MERMAID HALF DAY CAMP (Ages 6-12)
“Put your best fin forward in this mermaid adventure! Begin at Ripley’s Aquarium, where you will create your own mermaid name and enjoy fun activities, including a fun mermaid craft. We will travel to our special mermaid pool where you will swim in a real mermaid tail, learn mermaid tricks and play mermaid games! When you return to dry land, you will get an official certificate recognizing you as a REAL MERMAID! Space is limited and sells out quickly, make reservations early!”

This is basically the summer of mermaids at Ripley’s Aquarium so that means special fun all season long! They’ll even be offering breakfast with the mermaids.
