Don't forget these generator safety tips!
With Hurricane Dorian quickly approaching, many are getting their hurricane preparations in order. Having a generator on hand can be useful in the event of power outages. We caught up with a Lowe’s Home Improvement representative on generator safety.
Watch and take note of these tips to be sure you’re using yours properly.
- Make sure your generator is at least 20 feet from your house
- Don’t attempt to backfeed your house
- Don’t run your generator in the rain (keep them shielded, yet well ventilated)
- Stock up on extra gasoline and store it properly
