Drive-N-Live program at Fun Warehouse will stress the importance of safe driving

Students are invited to participate in Drive-N-Live at Fun Warehouse!

Drive-N-Live is a program designed to help students understand the importance of safe driving.  For the first time ever, the event will take place at Fun Warehouse in Myrtle Beach.  It’s happening Wednesday, March 20th at 6pm and is free and open to the public.  Check in will take place between 5:30 and 6pm.  Felix Cruz with Drive-N-Live says it will  be the first of many there.

Students will have the chance to drive go-karts with drunk goggles on.  They’ll also get to text and drive the go-karts.  Cruz says he would rather participants hit cones than hit a person or an object in real life.  Local law enforcement has also teamed up and will participate by giving presentations.  After participants have completed the course, they will sign a pledge agreeing to not pick up their phones while driving or be under the influence.

The event is open to students aged 13 and up.  A parent or guardian must be present for participants between 13 and 17 years of age.

To participate, you should pre-register for the event.  You can do so by clicking here.
