Country music star Josh Turner shares what it’s like to be back in South Carolina

We loved catching up with our very own hometown guy, Josh Turner before his concert at the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach.

Originally from the Pee Dee, Josh Turner hasn’t forgotten his roots and talks with us about growing up in Hannah, South Carolina.  While he’s always loved to sing and grew up in the country, it wasn’t until his move to Nashville that he hit it big.  Following his 2001 performance of “Long Black Train” at the Grand Ole Opry, he took the country music scene by storm.  Today, he still lives in Nashville, but has a great love for his home state.  Some of his hits include “Long Black Train,” “Me and God,” “Your Man,” and “Hometown Girl.” This October will mark his 11 year anniversary as a member at the Grand Ole Opry.
